Zoetendal is situated in the heart of the Agulhas Plain, and is part of the Nuwejaar Wetlands Special Management area. What this means is that we find ourselves in a world-famous fynbos kingdom – a paradise that’s home to over 1 751 plant species. How could we not be inspired by the abundant beauty around us? We’ve thus turned our hand to a little horticulture, cultivating blueberries, flowers, herbs, and proteas alongside our vineyards.

A purchase of plenty

We believe in a farm-to-plate ethos when it comes to our cuisine, so we’ll be adding more herbs and edibles to our kitchen gardens. But our focus will be on a wide variety of protea species, from king to magnifica to aristata. They’ll be cultivated in the company of a wide array of fynbos and flowers from the region. And our blueberries will be bursting with flavour when harvested. We invite our guests to purchase and sample the fruits and flowers we gently cultivate at Zoetendal.
